FEAR...

The grandfather's fear was death when he saw a star falling down and was abnormal because he was exaggerating and being unrealistic about the falling star. The old man's fear also developed into a phobia that became a strong, persistent and irrational fear of a falling star(s) that poses little or no actual danger. The grandfather was making mountains out of molehills.

MUSOPHOBIA
Musophobia is a fear of mice or rats. It is created by the unconscious as a protective mechanism.

This mechanism was probably created at some point in the person's past when they had a traumatic experience with a mice or rat. Examples of this could be having your house or room invaded by them, finding them eating your food, being surprised when they jump from a trash can, touching them while getting up as they run from under furniture, smelling them, or getting sick from them,e.t.c...

  3. Hi Beatha, I understand why you might think it's abnormal but what I understand is that the old man is probably just lonely without the consolation of deceased wife.

  4. Somehow i don't agree with you because fearing something is normal. Just imagine if you had a specific fear you would have also reacted that way.
